The
conference locations | Since 1988, EMRF has arranged a series of bi-annual conferences focused on recent developments in image contrast enhancement by agents or tracers. The purpose of these meetings is to allow those interested in the field to get together to present their research in a setting that fosters discussion, collaboration, and advancement in the field. From the beginning, this group has been comprised of both university scientists and representatives from industry. The conference is organized on the principle of formal scientific exchange during the academic sessions and informal interaction during the rest of the day. Over the years, this has led to the development of new projects and products, often collaborative ones, between industry and academics or between universities. As always, also in Mons the traditional mood of friendly and open exchange between the industrial and academic communities will be preserved. EMRF's conferences are ongoing projects. Their continuity and success not only depend on intellectual interest, contribution and support of academics and commercial researchers in the field, as well as on financial support of the research branches of industry, but they also require the attention and input of scientists, radiologists, trainees, and other researchers who use, and improve, contrast agents of all kinds. Keywords: state of the art in contrast-enhancing compounds MR imaging, PET, SPECT, ultrasound, optical imaging molecular imaging, hyperpolarized molecules, magnetic nanoparticles, contrast/field in MR contrast, supramolecular assemblies, new developments in the field of vectors, reporters new dimension of diagnosis, neurological diseases, cancer, inflammation; scientific and medical ethics. | ||||||||||
